Vitamix

A fresh take on a global brand

Refreshing Vitamix’s website guidelines to bring global brand consistency.

Premium blender brand, Vitamix, entrusted us with creating new website guidelines that would ensure global brand consistency across international markets, while allowing for local flexibility. To bring a sense of cohesiveness, we created a template design for key web pages, featuring a recipe page showcasing five seasonal recipes to promote the brand’s focus on healthy living. Keeping the recipe page current presented the challenge of creating fresh seasonal content while delivering best value to client. This led to the creation of a production model based in Cape Town, providing a sustainable solution to the ongoing capturing of Vitamix’s seasonal shoots.

Solution: The premium blender brand for professionals and everyday foodies alike, Vitamix, entrusted us with creating new website guidelines that would ensure global brand consistency across its distributor markets, while allowing enough flexibility to tune into local audiences. Inspired by the brand’s focus on healthy living and the promotion of sustainable, whole ingredients, we wanted this to shine through.

Based on this, we developed a set of guidelines using a template design for key web pages, which featured a recipe page showcasing five seasonal, delicious recipes to inspire people to try something new. This required the creation of a bank of visual assets and entailed capturing the finished recipe, the Vitamix product and the whole ingredients in an exciting, fresh way. Under the seasoned expertise of our Cape Town team, we were able to develop a cost-effective solution that could be rolled out easily, season after season.

Creating the connection:

Our website guidelines helped create a cohesive, yet easily adaptable design format true to the Vitamix brand. Add to the mix five successful shoots to date and a dynamic bank of brand assets, and you have a winning recipe.
