The challenge: The Tomb Raider franchise is beloved by gamers the world over – but during its release, Shadow of the Tomb had to compete with a number of other big video game titles coming onto the market.
The idea: To create real standout and win over new fans, we transported gamers to the heart of the jungle with an engaging and immersive media preview event in Dubai.
The solution: With Shadow of the Tomb set in an Aztec-inspired jungle, we created a captivating experience at Dubai’s Green Planet, a unique indoor venue boasting an oasis of lush greenery and animals evocative of a tropical rain forest.
Making it extraordinary: Gamers were guided through the biosphere bursting with rainforest flora and fauna, alive with squawking parrots and chattering squirrel monkeys. The tour ended in a private presentation room that was transformed into a jungle, with foliage draped from the ceiling, clever up-lighting and big, bold branding throughout. The gaming rooms also doubled up as an interview space, where media had access to the developers and the famous Lebanese actress, Nadine Njeim, who provided the Arabic voice over.
