An unforgettable event engaging and uniting employees 

When Gulf Business Machines (GBM), the number one provider of IT solutions and official distributor of IBM in the Middle East, approached us to help put together their 2018 kick-off event, we delivered an employee engagement experience like no other.


2018 is set to be a promising year for GBM - they have big ambitions for the future of the business and have put together an exciting two-year plan of action. To help educate employees about the strategic direction of the business, the GBM HQ team enlisted Because Dubai to facilitate a kick-off day for 180 employees at the JW Marriot Marquis Hotel in Dubai. We were tasked with creating an atmosphere that celebrated the GBM team and made employees feel optimistic about the future of the business.

Our Dubai team developed the overarching theme of the event and created a visual identity for the conference, with a logo, branding and engagement mechanics. “Our GBM, Our Future” became the motto that united all GCC employees. We offered the client a turnkey solution and most importantly, a seamlessly executed conference for all guests. We took care of every detail - from the branding, engagement mechanics, production, operational and technical requirements - allowing the client to focus on what they do best - delivering engaging presentations and building employee morale. 

This half-day conference was a great opportunity for GBM to plan for the future while celebrating their successes and recognising the value their employees delivered in 2017. The kick-off event helped to engage and motivate 180 employees while they learned about the strategic plans for the business in 2018 and beyond.
