The Burj Khalifa Through the Lens Influencer Campaign

New perspectives on the world's tallest building

The Burj Khalifa is one of the most photographed global landmarks. Tourists and locals are constantly finding new ways of capturing its beauty. To find out more about their motivations, we turned our cameras to those behind the lens.

Emaar wanted to launch a campaign that would disrupt consumers' social feeds and move away from the transactional and repetitive approach of its peers. They also wanted to hero local talent to develop personal, authentic content to share on The Burj Khalifa's social channels.  

We created a social media and influencer campaign to put the focus back on those who make The Burj Khalifa the main subject of their stories on a daily basis. Through the Lens is a video series about innovation and storytelling that delves into what inspires those who regularly capture the Burj Khalifa and what draws their lens back to it time and time again. We partnered with and interviewed two local influencers for whom Dubai is a playground - @ajtravel a landscape and travel photographer and @aljvd an architecture and design photographer. Both share an important presence on social media and a fervent fascination for the building. 

A diverse series of videos, putting forward the talent of the local community, offering a fresh perspective on the iconic building and giving us real insight into the photographers’ challenges.
