Football fundi. Skilled skater. Passionate painter. Cool comedian. Stephan is a talented transfer to our creative roster. Here’s some more info on our newest teammate.

So, here’s the thing: the youngest kids in a family are the favourites. FACT. Granted, this does come from an older sibling, but I’m not jelly (honestly). The youngest child, on average, is the most spoilt one -– even if parents won’t admit it. But Stephan, our newest team addition, will. His friends describe him as a “sweetheart” and a “legend”, and his family describe him as a “good boy”. In Stephan’s words: “you can see I’m the youngest in the family.”
To be fair, these descriptions are justified, and we can’t hold being the youngest against him. We’ve got some of our own descriptions too: Stephan is a talented, versatile, enthusiastic team player with plenty to offer our Because family and clients. Best of all, he’s just such a nice guy.
So, what does the favourite child do in his free time? Well, he’s a busy man with plenty of hobbies. “I like going to movies with my girlfriend, cycling, skateboarding, trying to keep fit, going to music events, going to art exhibitions, painting, seeing friends and playing the world game of football (soccer for some),” explains Stephan. It doesn’t end there: “A few of our friends are DJs and artists, so we attend their events,” says Stephan. “My girlfriend and I are also somewhat “foodies” and love going to nice niche restaurants.”
We wanted to know a little more about our brand-new Account Executive, so we asked him our five critical get-to-know-you questions.
1. What are you most proud of in your career so far?
I’m proud of a public speech I made at an agency function. Basically, I was told to submit a topic that I am passionate about, thinking I wouldn’t necessarily get chosen (considering there were over 200 submissions). But I did! And apparently, I moved all those music lovers in the crowd, got a few jokes in and made people laugh. It made me feel like a standup comedian with the lights, cameras and hundreds of eyes on me. I stepped into the deepest end of public speaking, and I liked it.
2. Which person, dead or alive, would you love to have dinner with?
The infamous Cristiano Ronaldo. He’s one of the reasons I follow football almost religiously. I think it would be interesting to sit down and talk about everything with him and gauge his mentality (considering he’s one of the most elite sportsmen in history)..
3. What show are you currently bingeing? And what makes it so ‘bingeable’?
I’m currently half binging (because I have other priorities) Peaky Blinders and Animal Kingdom. In the first case, the Birmingham based gang trying to conquer the UK on all levels is very bingeable because I’m invested in the wardrobe, the show’s aesthetic, the story line and the impeccable acting and A-class actors. Animal Kingdom is a series based off of an Australian movie that I enjoyed watching. When I saw this American TV show with the same title, I could only imagine there would be similarities. This show is set on the West Coast of America and is about a family of cons/thieves/bandits who sleep in fear and live on the edge by being outlaws. Now, this doesn’t say much about my taste in shows or movies, as I also love watching arthouse films and psychological thrillers (anything to make me think a while after the picture is finished).
4. What’s your go-to drink? And why?
My go-to drink depends on my mood – but often it will be a good ol’ lager beer (especially if I’m with my friends). If I was stepping it up a notch with my girlfriend or other friends, I’d go for orange wines, or light reds, or cocktails (mainly martinis).
5. Name one thing on your bucket list.
I’d love to travel around a foreign country I’ve never been to and not worry about a thing.
