Meet Kirsten Short, our new Production Manager

Kirsten is our new fixer, planner, and make-it-happen magician. She’s also a keen baker and yogi. Here’s some more info on our newest Because teammate.

The fact that Kirsten is a talented baker just makes sense. She’s a practical, problem-solving, detail-oriented kitchen pro that expertly manages the fine line between having high energy levels along with being supremely calm under pressure. It’s this balance that produces the best kind of cookies and sweet treats (which her UK teammates are going to love) and the highest standard of creative work – and she’s always on time, too. So, we get cookies and freshly-baked treats AND a smoother-running office: that’s our kind of work recipe!

Away from her desk, Kirsten has just taken up yoga, which she loves, and she hopes she can stick to this new routine. For the rest of her downtime, she’s a professional hunter of lovely coffee shops, and is a massive fan of brunches, long walks in the countryside, and spending quality time with her friends and family. The words her friends use to describe this bundle of energy: ‘Happy, loyal, and a lover of hosting!’

Kirsten loves being hands-on and creative and making something from scratch. She’s a self-confessed Pinterest and Instagram addict, and nothing makes her happier than seeing people take a photo of her work.

We wanted to know a little more about our brand-new Production Manager, so we asked her our five critical get-to-know-you questions.

1. Which campaign in your career are you most proud to have worked on?

I was the production and creative lead for Red Magazine’s Red Smart Women Week, a takeover of a beautiful London townhouse with inspirational talks, workshops, and sponsor pop-ups. I loved bringing the brand to life as if you were stepping into the magazine and the huge floral staircase display!

2. Which person, dead or alive, would you love to have dinner with?

I would love to have dinner with David Attenborough, I imagine he’s got so much wisdom to share and I could listen to his iconic voice all day.

3. What show are you currently bingeing on Netflix? And what makes it so ‘bingeable’?

I’m currently watching Clickbait and looking for my next series to watch. I’m also particularly excited for the Great British Bake Off to start!

You can’t beat a Mojito, preferably while enjoying sunshine on a beach somewhere. Failing that, a G&T with lots of ice and slice!

5. Name one thing on your bucket list.

I think it’s probably the same as everyone else right now and that’s to travel; there are so many destinations on my list. Fingers crossed, we can start making plans for 2022!
