Meet Craig Stewart, our Account Director in Singapore


There are world travelers, and then there are serious world travelers.

Our Account Director in Singapore, Craig Stewart, is definitely the latter. Originally hailing from the land of deep-fried mars bars, Irn-Bru and kilts, he’s always had a passion for expanding his horizons and experiencing different cultures.


After finishing university in the UK, he swiftly made his way to Australia before moving to Dubai. While there, he honed his marketing experience by working client-side on 360 marketing campaigns for global brands such as Timberland, Nike Golf and Vans.

After four years, he made the move to the fun-filled, roller coaster vibes of agency life, working for some top-tier clients including Adidas, Heineken, Jack Daniels and Imperial Tobacco. 

In 2018, he relocated yet again by venturing to Southeast Asia east to join the Because team in Singapore.

When he’s not killing it at the office, you can find him in one of three places: the driving range, Clarke quay or uncovering a new hawker centre amongst the culinary wonders of Singapore.


We wanted to know a little bit more about our globetrotting AD, so we asked him our five critical get-to-know-you questions. 

1. What campaign in your career are you most proud to have worked on?

The team and I had an amazing experience curating a multi-country football tour for Adidas. The aim was to uncover the best football fanatic in the Middle East with a technology-based football challenge that toured the UAE, Qatar, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Egypt. We sought out the best of the best and challenged them against one another in a final showdown in Dubai after the three month search.

2. Which person, dead or alive, would you love to have dinner with?

Steve Jobs. I’d make sure to bring my pen and paper as the man’s a marketing genius.

3. What show are you currently bingeing on Netflix? And what makes it so ‘bingeable’?

Well, it’s not a TV show – but I recently re-watched The Shawshank Redemption. It’s just an incredible story that highlights different friendships, influences and experiences during the hardship of prison. A must watch! 

4. What’s your go-to drink? And why?

I’m Scottish so there’s only one thing on my mind: a dram of whisky.

5. Name one thing on your bucket list.
