Multitalented muso. Dumpling connoisseur. Gelato guru. AJ has a diverse set of skills that are as sharp as his one-liners. Here’s the inside track on our new resident rockstar.

There are two kinds of people in the world. One group loves gelato (our people), and the other group doesn’t, which we will never understand. Thankfully, AJ falls into the first group – so much so that he’s an authority on the Italian frozen dessert.
“I’m absolutely in love with this gelato spot called Piccolina, I find myself waking up in the middle of the night thinking about it,” says AJ. We find this culinary obsession both comforting and insightful: AJ is instantly a hit in our team of foodies, food-lovers, adventurous eaters, and restaurant-hunters. “Gogyo in Fitzroy and A25 in South Yarra are some of the other spots you’d find me stuffing my face in,” says AJ.
So, we get AJ. He’s our kind of different. Creative. Quirky. Charismatic. I mean, gelato is just the start: some of his downtime is spent comparing Asian doughy treats.
“I have a couple of friends over, compare dumplings from different brands and argue which one is the best. It happens every week,” explains AJ.
Outside of his food pursuits, AJ spends his time making music. “I play four music instruments, the guitar, the bass, the piano and a tad bit of drums,” says AJ.
So, AJ is a talented character with plenty to offer our team, but it doesn’t end there: he’s also pretty funny too. His friends and family describe him as “loud with an unfiltered sense of humour.”
We wanted to know a little more about our brand-new Senior Account Executive, so we asked him our five classic get-to-know-you questions.
1. Which campaign or role in your career are you most proud to have worked on?
This one is a tough one and might just upset a few people, but I’m going to have to go with Guinness St. Patrick’s Festival 2019. The whole campaign from start to finish was just one big adrenaline rush. Combine that with some of the best sales figures I’ve ever seen and it’s easy to see why it’s number one.
2. Which person, dead or alive, would you love to have dinner with?
Jesus! I mean, the man has close to a billion people talking about him on the daily, it’s hard to top that.
3. What show are you currently bingeing? And what makes it so ‘bingeable’?
I am currently on my fourth round of re-watching The Big Bang Theory. Sometimes, I too ask myself why, then I hear Sheldon’s one-liners and it all makes sense.
4. What’s your go-to drink? And why?
A classic Gin & Tonic seems to always work for me, but it’s gotta be in a tall glass for some reason, it just doesn’t taste as good in a small rocks glass.
5. Name one thing on your bucket list.
Well, I’ve always wanted to try out zorbing, just seems like a really fun way to get where you wanna go.
