Artificial intelligence has never been so powerful. Voice-controlled smart speakers can now order you an Uber to work, control your smart home, book a table at your favorite restaurant and much more.
Amazon Echo devices that connect to Alexa, Amazon’s cloud-based voice service, offer simple skills that can help with day-to-day activities to improve household efficiency. Consumers can now choose from thousands of third-party apps, such as Taste, Uber and NAB, to add to their account from food & drinks, utility and lifestyle categories.
To get consumers to use more of those third-party Alexa skills, Because worked closely with Amazon, which launched in Australia in December 2017, to develop a mini educational video series called A Day in the Life.
The six mini adverts aim to educate customers on what an Alexa skill is and what it can do. The videos showcase an Australian family (busy mum, commuting dad and young child), and takes the customer through real-life scenarios involving Alexa to demonstrate some of the capabilities a customer can add to enhance their experience.
Stephanie Babin, Senior Account Director at Because says,”We really wanted to excite, educate and engage Amazon’s customers on the added capabilities and personalisation that Alexa skills can add to their busy lives. The smart speaker competition is starting to get fierce and we’re hoping the ads will compel prospects to purchase Alexa enabled devices ahead of competing products.”
Amazon Alexa A Day in the Life campaign is now live on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook and targets Amazon Echo device owners. For more information on Amazon Alexa, visit www.amazon.com.au/alexa.
